Roman Böhni graduated from the University of Fribourg i.Ue. in 2007 with a Master of Law with the addition of "European Law" and was admitted to the bar in 2011. In 2015, he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Business Information Systems after his four-year part-time studies at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts. From 2008 to 2012, Roman Böhni worked in an IT consulting company; first as a consultant, then as managing director. He then worked for CSS Insurance in Lucerne in various functions and management levels until 2018. Since the end of 2018 Roman Böhni is owner and managing director of Böhni Rechtsanwälte GmbH and since October 2022 partner at ADLEGEM.

Roman Böhni advises companies on IT law, data protection law, intellectual property law, and contract law—particularly where legal and technical issues intersect. As a lawyer and business IT specialist, he combines legal expertise with technical understanding to develop practical, actionable solutions in the digital environment. In addition, Roman Böhni guides companies and institutions through complex projects as an experienced project manager. Thanks to his interdisciplinary skills, he steers projects toward success in a structured, forward-thinking, and goal-oriented manner.

Roman Böhni is a co-founder and member of the Board of Directors of Sedimentum AG, a member of the Board of Directors at KMU, an adjunct lecturer at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts (HSLU) in the CAS Cyber Investigation & Digital Forensics program, and a member of the board of the ninos jugando Donors' Club.
