Carla Hool completed her bachelor's (2015) and master's (2017) degrees at the University of Lucerne, graduating with honors (summa cum laude) in both cases. In between, she completed a short internship at a commercial law firm in Zurich. After completing her master's degree, she worked at a court of first instance in the canton of Lucerne and at a law firm in Lucerne. In 2019, she was admitted to the Lucerne Bar. From 2020 to 2023, Carla Hool worked at the Obwalden High Court and Administrative Court as a law clerk in the areas of private law, administrative law, criminal law, and social security law. Since September 2023, she has been working as an independent attorney (Hool Advokatur GmbH) in Lucerne and is a partner at ADLEGEM. Since June 2025, she has also served as a notary for the canton of Lucerne. In addition to her work as a lawyer and notary, Carla Hool is also involved in research and teaching at the University of Lucerne in the areas of property law, inheritance law, and contract law, and is working on a dissertation project in the field of inheritance law.

She also supports clients in family and administrative law matters. She acts in an advisory capacity and also litigates. In addition, she is active as a notary and advises and assists private individuals and companies in the handling and structuring of notarial transactions.

Carla Hool is a lecturer at the University of Lucerne, a member of the Horw municipal council, and a member of the Horw municipal education, health, and social welfare commission.
